miwhip whose application is downloadable since Tuesday, will not start operations until early 2019. The company says it has already registered 4,000 drivers and hopes to have 10,000 by the end of next year. It plans to attract drivers by receiving only a 15% commission – against 25% for Uber – and paying them daily.
The company promises to allocate one of its high-performance “minicabs” for every 100th trip booked by the app at no additional charge.
It has spent £ 1.5 million buying five super cars since it obtained its Transport for London license last month and plans to buy dozens or even hundreds of them as the demand is increasing. There will be some restrictions on the offer of supercars that is available for trips starting or ending in London or at airports.
